According to the petitioner, she has been assaulted severely on a number of occasions. The CCTV which was affixed has been removed; number of CCTV(s) have been damaged and water

connection has also been attempted to be disconnected by the private respondents.

To that effect, the petitioner informed the local police station but, no effective steps have been taken, as such, she is feeling insecure because of the highhandedness of the private respondents.

Learned advocate for the respondent nos. 8 and 9 disputes and denies the accusations and submits that they are the residents of the same building and the present writ petition has been preferred in order to create circumstances which would enable the petitioner to mobilize the police authorities against them.

Learned advocate for the respondent nos. 6 and 7 submits that at no point of time, the present respondents are involved with the act and actions complained of, in spite of that they have been implicated in the frivolous criminal

cases and the same is with the purpose of ousting them.

Learned advocate for the State submits that as and when the police authorities have been called, they have responded to the same and the police authorities are ready and willing to lend their support to the petitioner.

So far as the General Diary Entry which have been furnished with the police station is concerned, the police authorities would assess whether the same refers to the present set of accusations and/or earlier set of accusations.

Prima facie, it reflects that the problems which have cropped up are in respect of different set of family and individuals staying at a single building at different flats.

Ordinarily, the police authorities do not interfere in such situation.

However, having regard to the age

of the present petitioner, I direct that since the Kolkata Police is having the Cell i.e., PRANAM for addressing inconveniences of the senior citizens and, it has been informed that one Bappaditya Sarkar is presently in charge of the said assignment in Beliaghata Police Station; he would address the petitioner's grievances being assisted by a lady constable who would be assigned by the Officer-in-charge of Beliaghata Police Station, in case the petitioner is faced with certain circumstances and is unable to handle the same because of her old age problem.

So far as the other issues are concerned, the petitioner would approach the jurisdictional court - be it, Civil and/or Criminal and the concerned jurisdictional Court (Civil and/or Criminal) would take steps in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 5696 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
