1. Matter is taken up for consideration in terms of order dated 12th May, 2026 when Mr. Dhiraj Kumar Trivedi, learned senior advocate representing State respondents has placed before this Court one report dated 17th June, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Ekbalpur Police Station and same is taken on record. Copy of said report dated 17th June, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing petitioner.

2. It is disclosed in the report dated 17th June, 2026 that in connection with Ekbalpur P.S.

Case No. 48 dated 28th February, 2026 one of the prime accused was arrested on 18th May, 2026. It is also stated in the report steps are

being taken to apprehend other accused persons.

3. In view of steps taken and considering the fact that one of the prime accused is apprehended, concerned police authorities are directed to take further steps for arrest of other accused persons. Investigating agency is also directed to take all necessary steps for taking the investigation to its logical conclusion by submitting report before the jurisdictional Magistrate at an early date.

4. With the aforesaid directions writ petition stands disposed of.

5. However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate, if occasion so arises.

6. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
