The grievance of the petitioner pertains to an application which is pending under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 with the State respondent. Mr. De appearing on behalf of the State respondents and submits that an appropriate direction be passed for disposal of the aforesaid application. In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, I direct the respondent no.2 to consider and dispose of the application filed under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from date after giving a right of hearing to all the affected parties. It is made clear that I have not gone into the merits of the case and nothing in this order will be construed as being binding on the respondent no.2 even on the aspect of maintainability or limitation of the application under Section 18 filed by the
petitioner. The respondent no.2 is further directed to consider and dispose off the same strictly in accordance with law.
With the aforesaid directions, WPA 4605 of 2020 is disposed off. However, there will be no order as to costs.
