The petitioner complains of illegal and unauthorized construction.

Objection filed before the Howrah Municipal Corporation in February 2023 is pending consideration. Learned advocate appearing for the private respondents denies the allegation of the petitioner. Learned advocate appearing for the Howrah Municipal Corporation submits, upon instructions, that necessary steps have been taken in response to the complaint lodged by the petitioner. Demolition order was passed by the Howrah Municipal Corporation on 17th March, 2023.

It appears that the private respondents being aggrieved by the order of self-demolition challenged the same in a writ petition being WPA 7635 of 2023 which is pending consideration.

As it appears that the Howrah Municipal Corporation has already taken steps in response to the complaint lodged by the petitioner, no further order is required to be passed in the instant writ petition. The writ petition stands disposed of.
