Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail, inter alia, on the ground of parity with the other co-accused who was granted such facility on March 24, 2022 in CRM (A)1372 of 2022.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. He submits that the petitioner is the principal accused. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials available in the case diary, we are unable to hold that the petitioner stands on the same footing as that of the co-accused granted anticipatory bail on March 24, 2022 in CRM (A) 1372 of 2022.

Considering the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory

bail.

Consequently, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 1487 of 2022 is dismissed.
