1. Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner is taken on record.

2. The writ petitioner is a permanent stage carriage operator pursuant to the permit being No. TPT(13)/415/2024, TPT-20012(13)/416/2024, TPT-20012(13)/416/2024 and TPT20012(13)/417/2024 on the route from Rajchandrapur to Hatisala.

3. By dint of his representation dated December 13, 2024, the petitioner has prayed for variation/modification of the respective routes covered under the permits as mentioned above.

4. According to Mr. Nandi, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner, the proposal of the petitioner for variation/modification of the route are in compliance with the statutory stipulations.

5. Mr. Roy is appearing for the State

respondent.

6. Having heard the learned counsels and perusing the records, it appears that the respondent no. 2, STA, West Bengal should immediately consider the petitioner's application as above, after allowing him a reasonable opportunity of hearing and dispose of the same by dint of reasoned order.

7. Let the said respondent dispose of the petitioner's application as above within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order, whereas at the time of consideration of the prayer of the petitioner, the petitioner/authorized representative shall be granted adequate and reasonable opportunity of hearing.

8. Let its order be communicated to the petitioner within one week from the date of the same.

9. With the direction as above, the present writ petition being WPA 5755 of 2025 is disposed of.

10. Since no affidavit has been called for, allegations made in the writ petition, shall be deemed to have not admitted by the respondents.

11. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
