1. Perused the report of the CESC authorities.

2. It appears that the common meter board position is at premises No.M-76, Paharpur Road, Kolkata 700024. Mr. Loknath Sharma, the respondent no.4 had purchased the property from one Mrs. Krishna Shaw. The petitioner was the tenant under Ms. Krishna Shaw and continues to be in possession.

Tarak Nath Shaw made an application before the CESC authority seeking amendment of the address in the bills from 76/C, Paharpur Road to M-76, Paharpur Road.

3. As it is the contention of the CESC that the meter is at premises No.M-76, Paharpur Road, the petitioner will be granted electricity from the said common meter board at premises no.M-76, Paharpur Road, in accordance with law, upon compliance of all formalities. Such connection shall not create any equity in favour of the

petitioner and the same shall be subject to any other civil litigation that may take place in future. If the CESC faces any resistance, it may take police assistance at the cost of the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.

5. All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of the order.
