Learned Counsel for the petitioner renews his prayer for bail. Learned State Counsel submits the Memo of Evidence reporting on the progress of the trial in terms of the previous direction of the Hon'ble Division Bench dated 11th March, 2020. Having considered the materials placed and the nature of the offence as well as the conduct on the part of the petitioner which led to a delay in commencement of the trial, this Court does not find merit in the prayer for bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage. The Ld. Trial Court is however requested to expedite the trial. [Shivakant Prasad, J.] [Subrata Talukdar, J.]
