Anwar Hossain Mr. Pradipta Ganguly .....For the State The accused-petitioner claims to be the resident of Mathura in the province of Uttar Pradesh. It is pointed out that he is an inmate of Gurukrip Ashram Vrindabad Bangar, Mathura. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that charge-sheet has already been submitted and the petitioner is languishing in jail custody for more than 547 days without trial.

We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the State.

Having heard and in consideration of the evidence, prima facie, placed before us and the report as submitted through learned Registrar

General, the prayer for bail is rejected bearing in mind the nature of the offence, however, since the charge-sheet has been submitted, the learned Trial Court would take all endeavour to expedite the trial preferably within a period of six months from the date of the order. Personal appearance of the I.O. is dispensed with. Thus, the application being, C.R.M. 2583 of 2020 is disposed of. (Aniruddha Roy, J.) (Shivakant Prasad, J.)
