Khan ... for the Petitioner(s) Mr. SoumikGanguly Mr. Prakash Mishra ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocated for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 22 months and he has not been identified by the witnesses who deposed before the court. It is also contended that there are 30 witnesses proposed to be examined by the prosecution.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that because of absconsion of some of the accused persons, there was delay. However, charges have been framed and three witnesses have been examined. It is also contended that there were seizure effected from the possession of the present petitioner.

Be that as it may, the prosecution is directed to complete the vulnerable witnesses within 31st December, 2026.

Having considered the stage of the case, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

The petitioner would be at liberty to approach this court after the aforesaid time period is over. Accordingly, CRM (M) 673 of 2026 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
