The grievance of the petitioners is that though the payment for the work done has been released by the Corporation, the security deposit has been held over.

Representation was filed by the petitioners before the Municipal Corporation seeking refund of security deposit. The same is pending consideration till date. Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioners, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Biddhannagar Municipal Corporation to take a decision on the representation filed by the petitioners in accordance with the relevant rules and guidelines after giving a reasonable opportunity of

hearing to the petitioners at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioners immediately thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
