1. Heard learned lawyers for the parties.

2. We have considered the materials on record. Witnesses stated petitioner had assaulted the victim resulting in his death. He does not stand on same footing with co-accused who are on bail. Offences, if proved, would attract mandatory life imprisonment.

3. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.
