WBTC and others Mr. Upendra Roy, Mr. Sunny Nandy ...for the petitioner Ms. Deblina Chatterjee ... for the respondents The writ petitioner claims to have been working as a conductor on a temporary basis with the WBTC formerly known as "Calcutta Tramways Corporation (1978) Ltd since the year 2010. He submits that about 250 and odd employees similarly situated as the petitioner have been regularised by the WBTC and the petitioner has been left out. He further submits that the persons junior to the petitioner have also been regularised.

He has made a representation on 14th June, 2018 to the Chairman and the Managing Director of the WBTC praying for regularisation. In those circumstances, the Managing Director of the WBTC shall consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with applicable Rules and its circulars within three

months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The Managing Director shall pass suitable orders and the same may be communicated to the petitioner within fifteen days thereof.

In the event the Managing Director is not available, the person next in the rank below the Managing Director may comply with the aforesaid order.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition is disposed of.

No order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order on usual undertakings.
