A short question involved in the instant matter is the non-recognition by the State of West Bengal, Nursing Degree and Reciprocal Certificate obtained by the petitioner from the State of Karnataka.

Initially, an interim order was passed on March 17, 2020 directing the provisional registration to be granted to the petitioner by the State of West Bengal which has not been complied with till date. There is no explanation from the State for such non-compliance.

CAN 1 of 2020 (old no. CAN 4403 of 2020) has been filed by the petitioner for urgent orders to appear in the interview with regard to recruitment to the post of nurse. Counsel appearing on behalf of the Indian Nursing Council submits that the process of recruitment has been started. Hence, CAN 1 of 2020 has become infructuous and stands dismissed.

The subject matter in the instant application has been considered and dealt with by a coordinate Bench (Hon'ble Justice Moushumi Bhattacharya, J.) in WPA 4673 of 2020 by an order dated September 23, 2020. This Court is in complete agreement with the view and reasons given therein. For the reasons stated in the order dated September 23, 2020 (supra), the respondent no.2 shall forthwith carry out the direction of the order dated March 17, 2020 and grant reciprocal registration to the petitioner and communicate the same to her within a period of one month from date.

With these observations, W.P.A. 4675 of 2020 is disposed of.

In view of the above, CAN 1 of 2020 (Old No. CAN 4403 of 2020) and CAN 2 of 2020 (Old No. CAN 4404 of 2020) have become infructuous and hereby dismissed. There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
