The subject matter of the case relates to private and personal dispute under Sections 341/323/114 of the Indian Penal Code.

The Investigating Officer of the case is directed to immediately submit a report under Section 173 of the Criminal Procedure Code before the jurisdictional court. The jurisdictional court is directed to proceed with the next stage of the case.

There may be cases where CCTV footages are required for

substantiating as corroborative evidence. However, the same is not the only source of the opinion on which the prosecution is bound to rely to arrive at its findings. The learned Magistrate is directed not to insist on CCTV footage. The case is almost 5 years old and unnecessarily the same is being dragged. All efforts must be taken by the prosecution and the court to take the case to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 721 of 2018 is disposed of. All pending applications, if any, in connection with the revisional application, are consequently disposed of. Interim order, earlier passed, is hereby vacated.
