1. 7 (seven) bottles short of 5 (five) thousand bottles of phensedyl syrup containing codeine phosphate was allegedly recovered from the joint possession of the petitioners. Since, commercial quantity of contraband items is involved, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioners' prayer for bail, at this stage.

1. However, considering that the petitioners are in custody for about 8 (eight) months and charge has been framed and there are 9 charge-sheet named witnesses, who are yet to be examined, we request the learned trial court to expedite the trial, if necessary, by fixing frequent schedules for recording of

evidence so that the matter can be disposed of as early as possible.

2. The prayer for bail is, thus, rejected.

3. CRM (NDPS) 327 of 2025 is dismissed.

4. Criminal Section is directed to supply certified copies of this order to the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
