The petitioner is a widow and her deceased husband was a tenant of a Government LIG Housing Estate in Cossipore, Kolkata.

The State respondents are represented.

The record includes a representation made by the petitioner through her advocate to the Estate Manager, Housing Department, Government of West Bengal on 4th February, 2023. Whatever be the case, the petitioner is entitled to know the reason for the steps taken by the respondents and also to a minimum level of respect. WPA 5944 of 2023 is disposed of with a direction on the respondent no. 2 being the Estate Manager, Estate Directorate & Ex-officio Deputy Secretary,

Housing Department, Government of West Bengal to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 4th February, 2023 within 24th April, 2023. Needless to say, the petitioner shall be given a hearing before the concerned respondent passes a reasoned order. The concerned respondent shall hold the hearing on 18th April, 2023 as suggested by learned counsel for the parties. A copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioner by 27th April, 2023. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case.
