Petitioner Mr. Navanil De, Mr. Shoumalya Mazumder ...for the Petitioner Mr. Rana Mukherjee, Ms. Sujata Das ... for the State.

Mr. Arnab Chatterjee ...for the de facto complainant.

Mr. Navanil De, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 110 days. The petitioner is aged about 61 years. He seeks for enlargement of the petitioner on bail.

On the contrary, Mr. Arnab Chatterjee, learned Advocate appearing for the de facto complainant submits that victim is aged about 8 years and there are serious allegations against the petitioner of his involvement in the alleged offence. Ms. Sujata Das, learned Advocate for the State opposing the prayer for bail, submits that the statement of the victim and

the medical report show that there are serious incriminating materials against the petitioner.

Perused the case diary and materials on record. It is found from the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of Cr.P.C. that there are serious allegations of forcible act of the petitioner. Similar fact is also stated by the mother before the attending doctor. Considering the materials as indicated above and the nature and gravity of the offence, this is not a fit case to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. The application for bail being CRM (DB) 929 of 2025 stands dismissed.
