Petitioner approached this court as she had been professionally harassed, physically assaulted. Petitioner is a journalist of one 'Bongo TV' and she complains that she and her cameraman both were physically assaulted on 28.02.2025 between 3.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. Pursuant to her complaint Hare Street PS Case No. 52 dated 01.03.2025 was registered for investigation. The investigation of the case is in progress. The investigating officer has in a report submitted before this court stated that several requisitions have been submitted before the High Court to provide CCTV footages of the place of occurrence on the date and time so referred in the First Information Report.

Registrar General, High Court, Calcutta is directed to preserve the CCTV footage of 28.02.2025 between 3.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. The High Court Administration is directed to take a decision whether any privilege is claimed for handing over the CCTV footages to the investigating officer of the case. Petitioner has also prayed for safety and security while working in the High Court premises. There is an Officer-in-charge of the High Court, Calcutta. In case the petitioner faces any hindrance she would report to the concerned Officer-in-charge who will ensure that unnecessarily there is no interference with her job by any individual.

Case diary has been produced before this Court. The same is returned to the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 5850 of 2025 is disposed of.
