The petitioner is aggrieved by nonconsideration of his request for compassionate appointment. The petitioner's husband died-inharness on June 8, 2014. In view of the nature of grievance raised in the writ petition there is no use keeping the writ petition pending. The writ petition is, therefore, disposed of by directing the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Kolkata i.e. the respondent no.3 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation appearing at page 23 of the writ petition strictly in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

It is made clear that the direction passed by this court for consideration of the petitioner's representation should not be treated as a command to the District Inspector of Schools to offer compassionate appointment to the petitioner de hors the law on the subject.

The District Inspector of Schools shall communicate the reasoned order to the petitioner within one week from passing thereof.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties after completion of all necessary formalities.
