Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is agreeable to pay the amount assessed by the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (in short 'WBSEDCL').

However, learned counsel appearing for the WBSEDCL submits that a quotation has already been raised upon appropriate inspection.

Since the petitioner is agreeable to pay the amount assessed by the WBSEDCL, WPA 4729 of 2020 is disposed of with liberty to the WBSEDCL to hold a fresh inspection, if necessary, and to re-assess the amount, which was previously assessed, in the light of the current circumstances at the site where the connection has been sought. Such exercise shall be

completed by the WBSEDCL within four weeks from date.

It is made clear that the merits of the contentions of the parties have not been gone into by this Court. There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
