Pursuant to my direction passed in the last occasion, the deficit court fees have been paid. Two fold prayers made in this writ application is one for permanent service of the petitioners who are now the contractual teachers and the other is enhancement of remuneration as has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioners.

Learned advocate for the State submits that absorption as permanent teacher is not possible but if the petitioners restrict their prayer to the enhancement of their remuneration it will definitely be considered by the appropriate authority of the State.

Learned advocate for the petitioners has drawn my attention to the letter dated 17th October, 2019 (at page 191 of the writ application) whereby the Director of

Madrasah Education wrote to the Principal Secretary of Government of West Bengal, MA & ME Department for enhancement of the wages of the petitioners. This has not been considered uptil now which is the present grievance today before this court.

I direct the said Principal Secretary to whom the said letter dated 17th October, 2019 was written by the Director of Madrasah Education to consider the letter relating thereto within a period of three months from date and to take a decision thereon and to communicate the same within a period of two weeks thereafter. I also direct the said Principal Secretary to grant an opportunity of hearing to any of the petitioners or their representative so that he can help the Principal Secretary supplying the necessary papers at the time of hearing. The consideration by the Principal Secretary will be restricted in respect of the enhancement of salary and not for any other claim.

Learned advocate for the petitioners is directed to serve a copy of the said letter dated 17th October, 2019 along with a copy of this letter upon the said Principal Secretary immediately.

With this direction, this writ application is disposed of.
