Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record. The petitioner has approached this Court as he was aggrieved by the investigation carried out in connection with Usthi P.S. Case No. 489/2024. State has submitted a report which reflects that charge-sheet has been submitted on or about 19.01.2025 and also prayed for warrant, proclamation and attachment against the respondent nos. 6 and 7. The report also reflects that the police authorities have drawn up proceedings on or about 13.01.2025 under Section 126 of BNSS. Having considered the same and the plight expressed by the petitioner that he is subjected to threats, I am of the view that if an appropriate application under the provisions of Witness Protection Scheme, 2018 is made before

the jurisdictional court, the jurisdictional court will call for threat perception report from the concerned police authorities and thereafter pass necessary directions under the said Scheme.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 5829 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
