The petitioner is an office bearer (treasurer) of the "S.S.C. Jubo Chatra Adhikar Mancha - Karmasiksha o Sorirsiksha". They have about 1280 members. They want to hold a sit in demonstration to protest against deprivation of opportunities of working as a teacher in the State. They have applied before the police for permission but there has been no response.

Mr. Banerjee, learned Senior Counsel for the State has fairly submitted that the State has otherwise no objection to the petitioners holding a demonstration of said "S.S.C. Jubo Chatra Adhikar Mancha - Karmasiksha o Sorirsiksha".

In the above circumstances, the petitioner and the members shall hold a demonstration at the Shaheed Minar grounds in the city of Kolkata. The petitioner shall abide by all reasonable conditions imposed by the Joint Commissioner of Police (Headquarter). The demonstration shall be held peacefully and shall not in any way

inconvenience the public. The petitioner shall clean up the place of demonstration on each day after they finish. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
