Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner would not like to press this application and would instead pray for a direction upon the respondent no.5 to consider the application for obtaining licence for the fair price shop dealership that was earlier run by him and his father (since deceased) in partnership. In view of the above, let the respondent no.5 consider the application made by the petitioner for appointment as a fair price shop dealer and any other application that might have been filed in respect of the said dealership within a period of four weeks from this date and thereafter communicate the order to the petitioner within two weeks therefrom.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

It is clarified that the merits of the case have not been gone into and all points raised in the writ petition are kept open.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities.
