Report contains a circular on Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to be followed for timely examination of public servants as witnesses in criminal trials. All concerned are directed to strictly comply with the said SOP. Failure to do so shall attract disciplinary action in accordance with law.

In addition to the SOP, this Court also directs that the trial courts shall ensure examination of public servants who are posted at far off places and are unable to attend the court due to official commitments through video linkage. Inter-operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) facility shall be utilised for such purpose. Proceeding is closed.
