This is a contempt application under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India filed by the petitioner on 2nd April, seeking punishment of the alleged contemnors for violation of the order dated 30th July, 2001 passed by this court in W.P. No. 10306(W) of 2001.

Since filing of the application none appeared for the petitioner to press the application.

I feel that the petitioner who is now aged 78 years is no longer interested to proceed with the application. Accordingly, the contempt application is dismissed for non appearance of the petitioner. (Rabindranath Samanta, J.)
