The respondent No.4 has refused service. The postal articles annexed to the affidavit. Other respondents have been served.

The writ petition has been filed alleging inaction on the part of the Officer-in-Charge, Khejuri Police Station, Purba Medinipur. It is the specific complaint of the petitioner that although the petitioner and Subhadra Monda Das, wife of the petitioner, had some misunderstanding and the matrimonial relationship had become strained, the respondent Nos.5 and 6 intervened and assaulted the petitioner, as a result of which, resolution of the matrimonial disputes have more difficult.

Thus, intervention of the police authorities sought for, so that the respondent Nos.5 and 6 could be appropriately dealt with by the police authorities. The allegation is that the petitioner was badly beaten up by the respondent Nos.5 and 6. Mr. Mondal, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the State-respondents, has filed a report prepared by the Officer-in-Charge, Khejuri Police Station and the same is taken on record. The police made an enquiry. A general diary was registered being Khejuri PS GDE No.514 dated March 13, 2022. Thereafter the petitioner, once again, sent a written complaint to the police authorities through speed post. Pursuant to the complaint, Khejuri PS Case No.108 of 2022 dated April 4, 2022 under Sections 341/323/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code was initiated against the respondent Nos.

4, 5 and 6. The investigation is going on. Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the police authorities to proceed with the investigation in a free and fair manner and conclude the same within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order.

This writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
