Suchitra Kumar Mondal v. State Of West Bengal & ORS
18th August, (AK) W.P.A 4488 of 2015 Suchitra Kumar Mondal Vs.
The State of West Bengal and others Mr. Sakya Maity Mr. Subhas Jana ...for the petitioner.
The petitioner's grievance is that a deed executed by the petitioner was presented for registration and only an IGR Number bearing IGR No.P-4929 was issued.
However, despite the said deed of conveyance having been executed on July 18, 1990, the registering authorities have not yet informed the petitioner what is the due stamp duty payable by the petitioner, for which the transaction is still pending for finalization. Since none appears for the respondents despite previous service of notice, the matter is taken up for hearing ex parte.
WPA 4488 of 2015 is disposed of by directing respondent no.6, that is, the Additional District SubRegistrar, Sutahata, District-Purba Medinipur, to intimate the total stamp duty payable by the petitioner for completion of registration of the petitioner's document-inquestion.
Such intimation shall be given to the petitioner by respondent no.6 within a fortnight from the date of communication of this order to the respondent no.6. Thereafter, upon due payment being made by the petitioner, the registering authority shall complete the formalities with regard to registration in respect of the said deed at the earliest.
There will be no order as to costs.
Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
