The present investigation relating to Amdanga PS Case No. 684/2024 was registered for investigation on 07.10.2024. Petitioner's grievance is that in spite of the case being registered no effective steps are being taken by the Investigating Agency. From sections of the BNS which have been incorporated in the FIR, it reflects that prima facie the allegations relate to cheating and forgery in respect of the title deed of the property.

Police authorities have seized the same on production. If till date the police authorities have not sent, they would send the documents to the Office of the ADSR, Amdanga. The ADSR would assess

regarding the genuinity of the same and send a report to the Investigating Officer. If signatures are to be verified the police authorities would send the same after obtaining specimen or standard signatures to the handwriting expert i.e., Q.D.E.B., CID, West Bengal. Efforts be taken for expediting the process as an investigation relating to cheating and forgery in respect of title deed in ordinary course consumes time.

Learned advocate for the respondents submits that steps have been taken by the police authorities and the respondents have already cooperated with the investigation by way of attending the Investigating Officer as and when called for.

Having considered the nature of the investigation, I direct the Investigating Agency to follow the aforesaid steps so that the investigation can be concluded within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations WPA 5900 of 2025 is disposed of.
