Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than six months. He was not present at the place of occurrence at the relevant time and has no nexus with the alleged offence. The petitioner prays for bail. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record. It appears that eye witness and the CCTV footage installer of the property in question have implicated the petitioner in the alleged offence. CCTV footage reveals that the petitioner was present at the spot when victim was beaten to death. The petitioner appears to be member of the gang who assaulted the petitioner resulting in his death. Considering the gravity of the offence and prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is disposed of.
