The writ petitioners are the brother and sister. The fourth respondent is the daughter-in-law of the second petitioner. It is claimed that the first petitioner with his own resources purchased a flat at 20/5, Mondalpara Lane, Kolkata-700 090 in the name of Arnab Sinha who is the nephew of the first petitioner and husband of the fourth respondent and also the son of the second petitioner. The writ petitioners claim that they are not allowed to reside in the said flat which was actually purchased by the first petitioner with his own resources. The fourth respondent is resisting the entry of the writ petitioners in the said flat. The writ petitioners lodged complaints dated January 17, 2020 and February 9, 2021 before the third respondent.

Mr.

Biswajit Dutta, learned advocate representing the State, in course of hearing submitted a report dated March 12, 2021, prepared by Mr. Debashish Pahari, the Officer-in-Charge of Baranagar Police Station, the same is kept on record. It is evident from such report that, pursuant to the complaints lodged by the petitioners, necessary First Information Report (FIR) was duly drawn up and registered on February 10, 2021. The police authority had also registered a case being Baranagar Police Case No. 323 of 2021.

Mr. Dutta, learned advocate representing the State, on instruction further submits that, the police authority will take all necessary steps in the matter in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible. In view of the above, nothing survives in this writ petition.

The present writ petition being WPA 6523 of 2021 (but appearing as WPA 6823 of 2021) stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
