The Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education has prepared a report dated 19th April, 2022 which mentions that the petitioner qualified in TET 2014 as a General (UR) Category candidate. He applied in response to the recruitment notification published on 23rd December, 2020 as a B.Ed trained candidate. His name was not included in the State Wide Merit List as his total merit score i.e. 26.504 is less than the score obtained by the last empanelled candidate in the General (UR) Category, Bengali Medium i.e. 28.950. As it appears that the petitioner scored less than the marks obtained by the last empanelled candidate in the said category, accordingly, the name of the petitioner could not have been included in the list of selected candidates.

There is no reason for interference in the instant petition.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. The instruction given by the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education dated 19th April, 2022, be retained with the records.
