This is an application wherein petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of the SI Case No.308 of 2023, presently pending before learned Additional Sessions Judge, 3rd Court, Berhampore, Murshidabad.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioners that the case was committed to the Court of Sessions on 21.03.2023. After a long lapse of time, the Court framed charge against the accused persons on 31st July, 2025 but till date the evidence has not yet been started and the next date is fixed on 05.03.2026.

Mr. Suman De, learned Counsel who usually appears on behalf of the State is directed to appear in this case. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned Authority.

Having heard learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the State, I find that the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is justified and required to be allowed for the ends of justice. In such view of the matter, CRR 1213 of 2025 is hereby disposed of with a direction upon the Court below to make his best endeavour for expeditious disposal of the above-mentioned proceeding and to take his

best initiative to conclude the trial, preferably within a period of 6 months form the next date of hearing.
