1. The petitioner challenges the disconnection of electricity of the petitioner on the ground of non-payment of an electricity bill, which according to the petitioner does not disclose the particulars of the components of such bill.

2. Although it is seen that at the juncture when the restoration was sought by the petitioner, the petitioner's daughter was taking the Madhyamik Examination for Class- X, the said urgency is no longer existent.

3. In any event, the appropriate forum for resolving billing disputes is the Grievance Redressal Officer (GRO).

4. Accordingly, WPA No. 6317 of 2024 is disposed of by granting leave to the petitioner to approach the concerned GRO with the billing dispute as raised herein.

5. If so approached, the GRO shall decide the issues in accordance with law, upon giving opportunity of hearing to all concerned, preferably within six weeks from the date of such approach.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
