Petitioner is in custody for more than 526 days. He submits there was a family dispute. He has been falsely implicated. He renews his bail prayer.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. He submits a seven year old child was kidnapped for ransom. Ransom money was directed to be deposited in the account of co-accused Anup Kumar Kundu. Bail prayer of Anup Kumar Kundu and others were turned down by this Court. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show petitioner was present at the time of recovery of the child. Bail prayer of co-accuseds have been turned down by this Court. Trial is in progress.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

We request the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. (Ajay Kumar Gupta,J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
