Record reveals that since after 23.11.2022, no one appeared for the parties in this case, though the matter has been pending in the list for months' together since thereafter.

Therefore, without wasting any further time, this case is taken up for disposal in absence of the petitioner as the same is a old one and pertains to the year 2015. The petitioner has challenged the initiation of trial against him Vide order dated 16.12.2014 by the Learned Additional Sessions Judge, 4th Court, Alipore in connection with Beniapukurur Police Station Case No. 18/2013 dated 17.1.2013 under Sections 8/21(b)/29 of the NDPS Act. The petitioner has pleaded that no cognizable offence or triable case has been made out against him. He has prayed for quashing of the entire proceedings of the trial Court.

After perusing the grounds pleaded by the petitioner, it does not inspire confidence in the mind of this court in order to warrant any interference by this Court in exercise of inherent extraordinary power under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C.

Hence, CRR 496 of 2015 along with the connected applications stand dismissed.
