This is a non-payment of gratuity matter, which is pending before the Controlling Authority since May, 2014. It has been stated that the crossexamination of the petitioner was concluded on 10th April, 2015 and the next date for evidence of the 4th witness is fixed on 9th April, 2021, which is yet to arrive.

The petitioner prays for early disposal of the case as it is pending for more than six years. Learned advocate for the State submitted that this his client may be directed to conclude the proceeding within six weeks from date.

Accordingly, I direct the Controlling Authority to conclude the proceeding within a period of six weeks from date.

With the above direction, the writ application is disposed of.
