This is an application for recording compromise of the case between the de-facto complainant and the accused persons in G.R.No.8489 of 2019 arising out of Baruipur Police Station Case No.2890 dated 17th December, 2019 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The learned Advocate for the accused/petitioners and the learned Advocate for the opposite party No.2 are present. On perusal of the joint petition for compromise, it appears that the terms of the compromise is lawful. Moreover, the Investigating Officer has submitted a report, stating, inter alia, that marriage between the petitioner No.1 and the opposite party No.2 has been dissolved by a decree for mutual divorce. The copy of the judgment and decree is forwarded by the Investigating Officer of this case. Let the report of the Investigating Officer be kept with the record.

Since the dispute between the parties has been amicably settled and considering the fact that Baruipur Police Station Case No.2890 dated 17th December, 2019 corresponding to G.R. No.8489 of 2019 arose out of a Matrimonial dispute, the instant joint petition for compromise is accepted.

Further proceedings in Baruipur Police Station Case No.2890 dated 17th December, 2019 corresponding to G.R. No.8489 of 2019 be quashed.

The instant revision, is, accordingly, disposed of. (Bibek Chaudhuri, J.) Mithun De/ A.R. (Ct).
