In spite of service none appears for the school authority.

The petitioner had made an application for transfer, which was not considered at the material point of time, prompting the petitioner to approach this Hon'ble Court. This Hon'ble Court by its order dated June 09, 2022 disposed of the writ petition directing the petitioner to make a fresh application, which would be considered by the authorities without insisting on the fact that the petitioner is a single teacher in her subject.

The petitioner has made the fresh application in terms of the order dated June 09, 2022 which has not
been considered and is pending before the school authority.

It is interesting to note, that according to the petitioner, there is not a single student in the subject being taught by the petitioner. The application made by the petitioner has been pending for a while before the school authority.

The respondent no. 6 is directed to dispose of the petitioner's application for transfer by May 31, 2026, strictly in line with the decision of this Hon'ble Court in Gokul Chandra Mallick vs. State of West Bengal & Ors. in MAT 1218 of 2024 and Rupak Dhua vs. State of West Bengal & Ors. in FMA 995 of 2025 and the notification of January 03, 2022.

In the event the application of the petitioner is allowed, the school authority will immediately forward the same to the concerned DI for expeditious onward progression.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. 10.
