The application is taken up for consideration subsequent to the order dated April 4, 2022.

Learned advocate appearing for the NCB submits that the recording of the statement of the accused under Section 313 of the Criminal Procedure Code was concluded. The next date fixed is May 12, 2022 for the purpose of hearing the arguments of the parties. Considering the fact that the trial is at the fag end and considering the fact that commercial quantity of narcotic was seized from the possession of the petitioner, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

C.R.M. (NDPS) 340 of 2022 is rejected.

However, we request the trail court to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to any of the parties.
