Present petition has been filed for inaction on the part of the opposite parties, on application of the petitioner for permit in respect of a Permanent Stage Carriage Permit.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the concerned authority has not responded to the application despite having considerable time lapsed.

Learned counsel for the State submits that though the application is not in proper forum, but fairly submits that some reasonable time may be given to the State to consider and decide the

application of the petitioner in accordance with the law.

In view of the submissions made, respondent no. 2 is directed to consider and decide the application of the petitioner dated 5th August, 2025 for a permit in respect of a Permanent Stage Carriage Permit within the period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order after giving the parties an opportunity of being heard. The concerned authority shall communicate the decision within one period of such order.

WPA 6164 of 2026 stands disposed of.
