Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are in custody for about 2 years and 1 month and the deposition of the witness according to the learned advocate do not inspire confidence for further detention of the present petitioners.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there has been alleged recovery of 7500 bottles of Phensedyl. It has also been contended that the evidence of the two investigating officers are only left. Having considered the same, I direct that within a period of 5 months the prosecution would complete all the witnesses. At this advanced stage of trial, I am of the opinion

that it would not be appropriate to accede to the prayer advanced by the petitioners. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioners in CRM (NDPS) 495 of 2026 is dismissed. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
