Mukherjee, learned Public Prosecutor Mr. Aniket Mitra ....for the State The statement of the de-facto complainant recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure implicates the petitioner, her husband.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident and considering the fact that the police complaint was lodged within two years of marriage, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 1102 of 2023 is dismissed.
