This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the defendant praying for a direction upon the learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), 6th Court at Howrah to dispose of an application under Section 8 of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 expeditiously. Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the said application is otherwise ready for hearing as the opposite party herein has already filed its Written Objection.

However, after going through the order-sheets appended to the civil revisional application, this Court finds that the Presiding Officer has been transferred. In view thereof, this Court is not inclined to pass any peremptory direction upon the learned Judge incharge. C. O. No.944 of 2025 is disposed of with the hope and trust that after the regular Presiding Officer joins, endeavour will be made to see that the

application under Section 8 of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 is taken up for hearing and disposed of as expeditiously as possible, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied expeditiously after compliance with all the necessary formalities.
