Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that there are criminal antecedent of the petitioner. The petitioner is involved in the racket of extortion of money from the members of the public.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the fact that there are criminal antecedent of the petitioner, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM (A) 1541 of 2022 is dismissed.
