Leave is granted to the petitioner to amend the cause title. Petitioner is aggrieved regarding the progress of ST Case No. 43 of 2023 arising out of Pursura Police Station Case No. 82 of 2021 dated 18-06-2021. The said case is presently pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 2nd court, Arambagh, Hooghly.

The prosecution in this case has relied upon 15 witnesses and none of the witness till date has been examined. Accordingly, it is directed that the SDPO/Additional SP/DSP whoever is in charge of Pursura PS will act as Nodal Officer of this case and ensure regarding the availability of the witnesses on the dates so fixed by the learned trial court.

In case a witness is not available the report should be submitted before the learned trial court by the concerned authority detailing the reasons.

No unnecessary adjournments should be granted to either

of the parties.

The Public Prosecutor appearing in the case would produce the materials, documents and exhibits on the dates fixed for examination of the witnesses concerned.

The learned trial court would preferably fix a schedule consisting of three dates and fix such schedule once in every 45 days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 984 of 2024 is disposed of. Liberty is granted to the parties to communicate this order to the learned trial court.
