Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that, the incident arose out of altercation relating to leakage of water in the drainage system.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the injury report. He submits that, the victim suffered a grievous hurt. It is after the victim coming out from the hospital that the police complaint was lodged. There is a delay of 11 days of the lodgment of the police complaint. The injury report of the victim explains the delay at least on a prima facie level.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 1542 of 2022 is dismissed.
