The petitioner complains of contempt of the order dated 4th April, 2022 passed by this Court.

Counsel for the petitioner fairly admits that substantial part of the order has been complied with by the Panchla Police Station. He submits that two further complaints have been lodged after the contempt application was filed. 3.

Counsel for the State produces instructions of Panchla Police Station dated 6th March, 2024.

It appears therefrom that the police have registered FIR No. 76 of 2024 dated 5th March, 2024 against the private respondents and water supply connection of the petitioner has since been restored. It further appears that there is

also a civil suit pending between the petitioner and the private respondents. There are other proceedings under Section 107 of the Code of Criminal Procedure taken out by the police against the private respondents.

The genesis of the petitioner's grievance is in family disputes.

In that view of the matter, this Court directs the investigation into FIR No. 76 of 2024 to be completed as expeditiously as possible. Panchla Police Station shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area.

With the aforesaid directions, the contempt application shall stand disposed of. 8.

Rule, if any, shall also stand discharged.

9.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
