Learned counsel for the State has produced a report in the form of instructions dated 17th December 2021 issued by the Officer-in-Charge, Durgapur Police Station addressed to the learned State Advocate. It is taken on record.

It appears from the report that charge-sheet has been filed. Further to the charge-sheet most of the accused persons have been apprehended and are on bail. Steps have also been taken against the absconding accused. It is expected that the investigating officer shall take all steps to secure the attendance of the absconding accused.

Learned counsel for the petitioner prays for further investigation into the charge-sheet in question. In that view of the matter, the petitioner may represent appropriately before the learned ACJM Durgapur and shall make proper submissions inter alia under Section 173 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The Ld. ACJM, Durgapur may pass suitable orders expeditiously thereafter.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
